Daastan-e Nayandahalli : Exploring Nayandahalli as an Ecosystem Where Waste is Resource

Exploring Nayandahalli as an Ecosystem Where Waste is Transformed into Resource

Join Kabir Khan, Marwan Abubaker, Malleshwari, Usha, Surendra, Salma, Siddique and Pinky Chandran as they make Nayandahalli their home, for the next one year, exploring Nayandahalli as an ecosystem where waste is a resource.
We are also making sense of the many questions that remain unanswered when we speak about urban informality, in reference to informal waste economy. Does social hierarchy exists? Is the recycling industry affected by changing patters of urban development- given the metro line? Do they have right of in-habitation? Why does recycling matter? What journey does it undertake?

Listen to the story of waste, the people of waste and Nayandahalli as an urban waste ecosystem on Radio Active CR 90.4 MHz Monday to Sunday at 11.30am
