Active Music Presents the Incredible Duo Sandeep Chowta and Christian Galvez

Radio Active caught up with the incredible duo Sandeep Chawta and Christian Galvez who are in our city for  ‘Christian Galvez and friends’ a music night organized by the Blue Frog that brought together talented musicians from Bangalore and beyond.

Sandeep Chowta is an Indian music director who primarily works in Bollywood, Kannada films and Tollywood. He is also the head of Columbia Records in India. He is best known for his background scores in some of Bollywoods most remembered songs from Asoka, Company, On Shanti Om, Housefull and many many more…

Christian Galvez is a prominent bassist, song writer and Chilean producer.  Mainly dabbling in fusion jazz and Latin American fusion style, he is known as the Jaco Pastorius Chile, for his great technical skill and virtuosity in different branches of jazz. In 2005, he accompanied jazz fusion drummer Billy Cobham and bassist Stanley Clarke, and toured Europe with them. In 2007, while in Los Angeles, he became a member of an electrical jazz ensemble led by bassist Stanley Clarke. In 2010, with Javiera Hernandez, he founded School of Jazz (ESJAZZ) in Santiago de Chile, inviting world class bass players like Victor Wooten, Stanley Clarke and Jeff Berlin. Currently, he is one of the most in demand bass players in the game.
