Read Aloud Festival Roundup 2020: First School Day Nerves, and Fascinating School Bags

In partnership with Hasirudala and Buguri Community Libraries, Radio Active CR 90.4 MHz is observing Read Aloud Festival 2020 all through the month of February. The activities under the fest will include school-based read aloud sessions, social media campaigns, and an all-day get-together featuring read alouds and other group activities. In this compilation post, we round up a few of the school sessions that were conducted in the city.

A Read Aloud session was organised for children at Government Primary School Chowdeshwari Nagara as part of the Read Aloud Festival 2020. The story titled ‘Raniya Modalaneya Dina’ was read aloud by RJ Usha for children of standard IV and V. In total, 41 children participated in the session.

A Read Aloud session was organised for children at Government School Rajeev Gandhi Nagara as part of the Read Aloud Festival 2020. The story titled ‘Imanala Shala Bag’ was read aloud by RJ Vijaya for children of standard IV and V. In total, 41 children participated in the session.

A Read Aloud session was organised for children at Government Primary School Lavakusha Nagara as part of the Read Aloud Festival 2020. The story titled ‘Kasada Rashi’ was read aloud by RJ Manjula for children of standard VII. In total, 54 children participated in the session.

A Read Aloud session was organised for children at Government Primary School Preethi Nagara as part of the Read Aloud Festival 2020. The story titled ‘Nandini Yalidalae’ was read aloud by RJ Asha for children of standard V. In total, 50 children participated in the session.


A Read Aloud session was organised for children at Apolo Public School, Rajeev Gandhi Nagara as part of the Read Aloud Festival 2020. The story titled ‘Imanala Shala Bag’ was read aloud by RJ Vijaya for children of standard IV and V. In total, 45 children participated in the session.

A Read Aloud session was organised for children at Christ Krupanidhi Public High School as part of the Read Aloud Festival 2020. The story titled ‘Kasada Rashi’ was read aloud by RJ Manjula for children of standard VI. In total, 30 children participated in the session.
